DID COLUMBUS ACTUALLY DISCOVER NORTH AMERICA?
Some will say Columbus never reached North America, but that is a geographic technicality as number one, there were no maps of North America back then in Europe. Furthermore, Columbus at least showed there was land, the Bahama Islands, on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. This, as opposed to the Atlantic Ocean and Pacific Ocean being, one and the same, ocean.

Furthermore, those Bahama Islands are part of the North American continent, not South America, or Europe, or Asia, or Australia, or Antarctica.

Hence, Columbus did discover the North American continent. Those who say Columbus only discovered the Bahama Islands can't see the Big Picture back then when Europeans didn't know there was land on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean.
